Directional speaker hire

Hire is charged weekly, and the price depends on the model and the length of hire. Prices are quoted plus VAT, and delivery is charged at cost. Most speakers are from £200 to £400 a week

The minimum is one week, which allows for shipping, installation, de-rig and return. Beyond that you can hire for as long as you need.

We have the largest directional speaker hire fleet in the world. Our largest fleets include the Solo Dome, the Single Localiser Dome, Audio Spotlight (all sizes), Dakota Audio MA4 and Sonic Beam SB-47. We have several other options in smaller numbers

Yes. We have the only directional speaker demo suite on the market, and demo units of the purchase-only speakers, so you can hear the difference for yourself.

We recommend whichever speaker suits your project, without favouring any model. It helps if you tell us where the speaker will go, including the height, the ambient noise level in the space, the type of audio (speech or music) and the size of the listening area.

As much as you can give us. We have shipped hire orders out on the same day before, but earlier booking means better availability and a smoother setup.

Yes. We deliver by FedEx, DHL or our own van, or we send labels you can attach to the flight cases for the return. Delivery is charged at cost.

Yes, we can come to your site to install them. Installation is an extra cost, so ask for it in your quote if you need it. Most of the speakers are pretty simple for your team to install.

Yes. All power is supplied with the hire, and we have various brackets and wall/floor stands available to hire.

Most of our speakers accept a 3.5mm input. Some have balanced audio and some have Bluetooth. We also hire out media players, sensors and triggers.

There is no deposit. New customers pay upfront. After that we can offer credit, subject to checks.

We insure the equipment until it arrives with you. From then until it is safely returned to us it is the customer’s responsibility.

Cancelling a confirmed order is charged as set out in our online terms and conditions. The charge rises on an ascending scale the closer you cancel to the delivery date, but we will also be fair to you.

Yes. We ship across Europe and handle the customs paperwork, using a carnet or the DAP procedure depending on the job. Returning the kit to us directly by courier is usually simplest.

Generally yes. Domes are essentially normal speakers with the direction coming from the dome’s shape, so they give one of the fullest sounds among directional speakers. Very heavy bass is harder to control, and adding a lot of it reduces the directionality.

The speakers are not IP-rated, but we have used them outside. Keep the face of the speaker pointing straight down and the top covered. Ask us about your site before you book

Ultrasonic speakers have a very tight beam, but the sound can reflect off hard surfaces if the speaker is not mounted overhead. How much depends on the room’s materials and the ambient noise, so tell us about your space and we will advise.
